On December 12, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has published a direct final rule to update the Safety Standard for Bassinets and Cradles (16 CFR 1218). The regulation shall enter into force on February 21, 2026.
According to the Standard, each bassinet and cradle must comply with all applicable provisions of ASTM F2194-25, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Bassinets and Cradles.
